![]() ![]() ![]() It's a bank holiday so I call on Day 10 and my card is there so I go pick it up. So I stop by the branch and the manager says she can't waive the fee but can have the card delivered to the branch faster than it would reach me. I am informed that I would be charged $35 for that "courtesy" but perhaps the branch manager could waive the fee. I go ballistic and ask that a card be overnighted. I call again and am informed that a new card was never issued. I call customer service and am told to call back in a few days. I am informed that a mistake was made and that we will both be receiving new cards within 7-10 days and I should withdraw cash and write checks in the meantime.ħ days pass, daughter gets replacement card. I have to wait because the banker is busy but he answers the silly questions from the 800# rep. They tell me that I have to have the banker check my ID and confirm that I am who I say I am. I can't identify any individual transactions because my phone died and I can't access the app. The banker says I have to call the 800# and let's me use their phone. We went to Target and in the checkout line we discover PNC cancelled her card as well, so I pay with a credit card and we go to the branch at the supermarket next door. I figure no worries as I can work off my college daughter's card since I can transfer funds to her. They said no problem 7-10 days and it would be here. So I called customer service and request a new card. I looked everywhere and could not find it. They do not issue temporary cards just so you know.įast forward a year and the now 1 year old gets ahold of my debit card and hides it somewhere. Fortunately the branch manager had mercy on an irate hormonal woman and got a short term solution worked out. I was not amused as I had just given birth 5 days earlier and had no business being anywhere except for home. So I had to to go the branch myself in an attempt to get whatever the issue was straightened out. I even called them to at least let her have $40 out of her account to no avail. They told her she had to go to the branch her account was opened at in NJ. The local branch would not allow her to withdraw cash as she had a non working card and did not have checks. Unfortunately that left her stranded at school in Philadelphia while I was in NJ. Her debit card was compromised somehow and they cancelled it on her. My college aged daughter and I had linked accounts so I could monitor her accounts. I didn't have any issues with PNC until something went wrong and it just seemed like it was a neverending comedy of errors. Their website and app are really good and the Virtual Wallet has some great tools. ![]()
